Close to the airport. Excellent service: Polite, helpful staff, good (and cheap) food any time of the day/night, and breakfast served from 2 am. Relyable shuttle service to the airport. The rooms are old-fashioned, but clean, but what to expect from a three star hotel. Excellent value for money for people who need a place close to the airport, especially for people who have an early flight.
I chos the Korona for a few reasons first price was reasonable, they were also close to Borispol Airport because I was flying on the following morning and it meant that I did not have to spend at least another fifty minutes travelling to the Airport from Kiev
It was not what it say in the infomation
We had dinnerand it was very tasty and cheap.
We requested smoking room, but all rooms in this hotel are non smoking. When we made reservation the room rate was 54 euro, but when we arrived we had to pay 60 euro. There was not conditioner in the room. It was very hot in the room.
Location close to the airport, quiet place away from the city, good wifi
No sauna, no massage as advertized on www, under construction outside, old inside, all cleaning ladies walk through the entire restaurant with dirty sheets and trash bags since the utility room is behind the restaurant, not working drain in the shower
I have stayed at all hotels in the Boryspil airport area and this one is definitely the best! Located 5 min. Driving from the airport, but in a nice and quiet area as distinct from the noisy Old Port hotel (the poorest place I've ever seen, by the way). Doubtless pluses of the Korona hotel are: good parity of the price and quality; professional and friendly staff; a pleasant interior of rooms; excellent breakfast and free Wi-Fi.
No significant disadvantages to mention
Convinient location near Borispol Airport. Excellent stuff.
Floor is not so plane :)
Breakfast from 2 A.M. to 10 A.M.
The items I enjoyed the best was the 24 hour receptionist. The onsite resturant which offerred a great variety of food for the price. The train($250) & airport($70) shuttle to and from the hotel, which was cheaper then most taxis.
This is a discount hotel! The ac didn't work (room #9) and the hotel staff was unresponsive to move us to a new room. By morning the rooms thermometer was read almost a 30c. I had to take a cold shower every few hours just to sleep through the night. Everything cost extra. I will not stay here again and would not even recommend this hotel to to someone I disliked.
The staff was very friendly. The rooms are big and nice. The hotel is located about 10 minutes away from the airport by car (the hotel has a shuttle car available for 7 euros each way). The reception and the restaurant are open 24/24. The rooms are isolated and very quiet. The WiFi is free and works well.
As "breakfast", we were offered a small cup of tea, 1 slice of bread and a little bit of butter. That's it. Just consider that there is no breakfast. The cash dispenser didn't work, which was a problem given the isolated location of the hotel. The staff, although very friendly, took 15 minutes to issue the bill...(but this is Ukraine).
Good location, close to the Airport and reasonably priced Shuttle Service
Poor Service, Not very good communication, Poor Restaurant Service, Not at all Organized, Do not do what they promise, etc., etc.
Near to the airport, though sadly transport is not complimentary. Very basic room and breakfast. Close to public transport to Kiev, but still quite far from center of Kiev. Since there are not much choices available, this has to do.
In the middle of nowhere. Rooms very basic.
If you are stuck in Kiev on a layover for a night and less than a total of 12 hours, then this place is only a few minutes from the airport, so it is convenient (though you will have to pay a small fee for transport to and from the airport). Breakfast is ok and included and served anytime from 2am - 10am. The staff did arrange a ride for us to Borispyl when we were desperate to get out of the hotel to see anything.
The hotel rooms are cold without any temperature regulation. They are quite basic, but sufficient. Some of the hotel staff is nice and others are young punks who smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol in the hotel lobby as people are checking in and out. The "transport service" is never on time and we had to wait at least 30 minutes on both occasions we needed to get to the hotel. It is not reasonable to get to Kiev from the hotel. Either take a 50 Euro taxi (40 minutes) each way or walk 10 minutes to a bus that takes you to the metro that takes you to the city (less than 10 Euros, but well over an hour).
Hotel arranged their transport service from the airport which was well organised, especially as my flight landed at 1:30 am. There is a charge for this service but it is better than a taxi.Good selection of tv channels & wifi available free of charge.
This is a solid hotel. The facilities are decent. It has a 24 hour restaurant. There are massages available. And though you do not get a phone in your room. The staff does help you make local phone calls.
Well, I don't think they could improve much without raising the price significantly.
